The brief whiff of them can give us a smile and a sense of love. But what can they do in our hair and skin care products?
OWAY uses essential oils and hydrolats in their products, giving us pure ingredients we can smell and feel. I want to talk about the essence of roses and how it helps our hair and skin.
Rose oil can improve acne, balance hormones, relieve anxiety, improve depression, reduce rosacea, and naturally increase libido.
Inhaling rose essential oil molecules, or absorbing essential oils through the skin, transmits messages to the limbic system—a brain region responsible for controlling emotions and influencing the nervous system. This helps stimulate circulation, sharpen memory, and boost mood.
In addition, rose oil has potent anti-inflammatory effects and contain antioxidants that fight off free radicals. Skincare products containing rose essential oil is purported to hydrate dry skin, clear acne, reduce signs of aging, minimize the appearance of scars, and help with conditions such as eczema and rosacea.
When we add rose water it helps make hair stronger, shinier, and less prone to dandruff. Its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties can also help defend against dermatitis on the scalp and ingrown hairs.
